New rules for transparency of electricity data

New legislation for transparency of electricity data is being prepared. ERGEG, European Regulator's Group for Electricity and Gas, has prepared Draft Guideline on Fundamental Electricity Data Transparency, following the request of the European Commission. The Guidelines expand and specify more precisely the electricity data required for publication. After public consultation draft guidelines will be the basis for the transparency legislation approved by the European Commission in the comitology process. Transmission system operators will carry the responsibility for the release of information, other market participants will be responsible to supply the required data for publication.
Draft Guideline, prepared by ERGEG in cooperation with ENTSO-E, European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity, is published on ERGEG webpage under following link. ERGEG invites all interested parties to provide comments till 28 October 2010.
ERGEG and ENTSO-E organize a joint seminar on transparency in Brussels on 11 October 2010. The registration to the workshop is possible under following link till 4 October 2010.
